Saturn in Scorpio...or Else

What an amazing day it is here in NYC!  The sun is out, no humidity, crisp and clear.  Definitely a high def day. 

Although, from my vantage point it looks more like this.

Anyone who takes the N or the Q  should be familiar with this charming bucolic village.

Now for my topic of the week.  Since Saturn is the task master of the zodiac I feel it my duty to mention a little about where he is hanging out right now.  But first I want you to get an idea of his personality and the symbols that most represent his saturnian ways.  Saturn is anything but sexy, although of course what's sexy for one person isn't the same for  another.  Its a personal thing.  Saturn is all about structure, boundaries and rules and regulations.  If you want to get an idea of what Saturn looks like I'll give you a few images.  Policemen, judges, meter maids, meter men,  parents, laws, rules, speed limits....I think you get the idea.

Saturn is traveling in the sign of Scorpio right now.  Saturn has been in the sign of Scorpio since October 5, 2012.  He will take leave of his visit in the sign of Scorpio in September, 2015.  Think of it like this.  Saturn signs a lease every 2 and a half years and doesn't leave until the lease is up.  So traditional Saturn is hanging out in the sexy sign of Scorpio for a pretty extensive visit.  Saturn will always put limits on whatever sign it is in to keep everything legal.  Saturn in Scorpio cautions us to respect boundaries with regard to sex.   Saturn says "Wear a condom...or suffer the consequences." Scorpio rules the sex organs.  Saturn says "Go for your yearly physical" Scorpio has rulership over the colon, rectum, and reproductive organs.  The department of health should be blasting public announcements reminding us to get a colonoscopy.

The more extreme example of Saturn in Scorpio can be seen in the global economy.  Scorpio rules other peoples money, for most of us that means banks.  When we need a loan we go to a bank to borrow the money.  Its not our money , its theirs and we need to have some of it.  With conservative Saturn in the sign of Scorpio, other people's money (OPM  ) that means banks are not going to make it easy for the borrower. 

Scorpio is also a very committed sign.  It gets very attached...to almost anything.  But especially ideals.  Scorpio is very idealstic and unmoving.  Extremists come under the sign of Scorpio.  Put Saturn in such an inflexible sign its no wonder there are all these crazies in the middle east keep forcing their ideologies on the masses.  Scorpio won't bend when it thinks its right.  And it will stick to  its way of seeing things to the death.  These are difficult times no question about it.  Oh, by the way did I mention Scorpio rules all matters pertaining to endings...... including death. Seems to be a lot of it going around these days.

The good news is that Saturn rights wrongs and puts things straight.  We have 2 years to watch it play out.
