Saturn Opposite Venus: Sometimes Love Hurts

Now back to where we left off with our Capricorn participant born on December 22nd, 1970 at 5:33pm. Last week I was looking at the ages from seven through fourteen years of age which was ruled by the planet Mercury because Gemini was on the cusp of the twelfth house. Mercury is located in the sixth house and which means that this period was all about what it means to have Mercury in the sixth house in a square aspect to Uranus in the fourth house. For those of you who missed last weeks blog please refer back to it for an explanation.

Now for the next seven year period and going again in a clockwise direction to determine which planet rules the ages between fourteen and twenty one we must look on the cusp of the eleventh house. Taurus is on the cusp of the eleventh house which means that Venus will rule the next seven years of our Capricorn's life. Venus is located in the fifth house. Since Venus is the ruler of this period and it is in the intense sign of Scorpio and located in the second quadrant which is all about emotional expression we would expect this to be a very important time in his or her life. Taurus on the cusp of the eleventh hints that this period was physical in it's expression. Venus in the fifth says that this was a time our Capricorn expressed feelings of love. These feelings were nothing to sneeze at by the looks of the Mars/Venus conjunction. The fifth house is also about risks and I would expect our participant to remember this period as a time when he or she decided to take a chance on love.

The fifth house is also the house where our talents lie. This would also have been a period during which our participant would have become emotionally attached to some form of creative expression besides the additional romantic experience. I wonder if this was also the time when our Capricorn became fascinated with tattoos.

The down side to this period is the fhe fact that Venus is opposed by Saturn. This is not exactly a happy combination. Venus/Saturn hard aspects are notorious for making the people with the aspect to feel socially unacptable due to an early rejection in love.

The fact that Saturn rules the seventh house points to an encounter that resulted in feelings of rejection. During this time our Capricorn learned that love can hurt.

More tomorrow!
