What Sign am I Most Compatible With?

While pondering what my next blog would be about, it occurred to me that one of the most frequent questions asked by my audiences is "What sign am I most compatible with?"  Obviously there is never one answer when it comes to astrology because of the number of factors that must be taken into consideration.

However, the Sun in the horoscope is the most important factor when judging astrological compatibility because the Sun represents how an individual views his/her world.  In other words, if you tried to get the same opinion from individuals born under 12 different signs of the zodiac, it would be more than likely that you would get 12 different points of view. In fact understanding the signs of the zodiac is sometimes all you need to figure out how a relationship between two people might play out.

First of all I like to break down the 12 signs of the zodiac into fire, earth, air and water categories.  These elements say a whole lot about people.  For instance if you look at the elements as different "tribes" it might help you understand a whole lot more about where people are coming from.  Different tribes have different things in common.  Try and think of the fire and air tribes as the kids of the zodiac.  The fire signs, Aries, Leo and Sagittarius thrive on excitement which motivates them and the air signs air signs, Gemini, Libra and Aquarius thrive on social interactions and abstract ideas.  Walk into a room filled with fire and air people and to the earth and water signs it might sound something like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZM1D_B5djpU

Earth signs are practical and concerned with obtaining the things in life that are necessary for survival. Water signs are also similar in that their concerns are focused on hearth, home, and food.  So Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn can see eye to eye because their points of view are compatible, as are Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces who operate on more of an intuitive and nurturing level in order to sustain life.   The fire and water signs might experience earth and water signs something like this:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XcH_TPk5ffY

There is nothing wrong with any of these signs as far as their points of view are concerned.  Trouble surfaces only when these signs  are brought together through marriage, business, or ordinary physical or emotional attraction without any understanding or appreciation of their differences.  Next week I'll give some real time examples of how these astrological combinations might work.
